Twinsie Tuesday... Halloween!

Good morning everyone! Happy Tuesday! And happy Halloween! I don't really get into holidays much, including Halloween. I've never really been interested in it, even as a kid. But I do love Halloween nail art and cute kids (and puppies) in costumes.

For this weeks nails I went pretty simple just using "Halloween" colors.

For this look I started with OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls. Then using the dry brush (or grunge) technique I added OPI Funky Dunkey, You're So Outta Lime, A Good Man-Darin is Hard to Find, Black Onyx, and This Gown Needs a Crown. Then I Topped it off with HK Girl quick dry top coat by Glisten and Glow, once it was dry I added NOPI Matte Topcoat.

I love this look! Dry brush is a favorite technique, have you tried it? If not, you should!!!

Twinsie Tuesday: I've Been Meaning To....

Hey everyone!!! Long time no see! I took a hiatus for vacation, then when we got home life got kind of crazy. But now I'm back and hopefully I can get back into posting more frequently. For now, Twinsie Tuesday!!!

This weeks prompt is I've Been Meaning To.... Basically anything we've been meaning to do. For me that was easy, I've been meaning to do anything with my nails! For a long time I've wanted to try ikat nails and I figured this was perfect excuse. :) There are a lot of tutorials for this design online, I followed one on The Budget Babe

For my base I used OPI My Dogsled is a Hybrid. (Thank you Bridget!) I then painted the design with acrylic paint.

Overall I'm pretty happy with these. I see some things I would like to fix, but it's my first nail art in ages and my first time trying ikat, so I think I did pretty good!

Thank you all for reading! Be sure to check out the other Twinsies blogs linked below!

Twinsie Tuesday, Teal Nails for Cervical Cancer Awarenesd

Good morning everyone. Today's Twinsie Tuesday prompt is Teal Nails for Cervical Cancer Awareness. This disease has not affected me directly, but awareness for all diseases is a good idea.

For this mani I have another Gelish polish. This is You Rub Me The Sarong Way.

For this mani I used my Gelish base coat, 3 coats of color, and topcoat; curing each following the Gelish instructions.

This is only the 2nd Gelish mani I've given myself and I'm completely in love!

I hope you are all doing well today. Be sure to check out the links to the other Twinsie blogs linked below!

Talk to you soon!

Twinsie Tuesday, Summer to Fall Transitional Polish

Hello polish loving friends!!! My Twinsie Tuesday post is a little late today, I've been frantically planning a yard sale. Frantic. Not because it's last minute, just because I'm a bit frantic at times. :)

Today's prompt is Summer to Fall Transitional polish. I have to say I don't really follow seasonal rules with polish. But seasonal colors do call to me with the weather changes.

Nothing really stands out to me as a transitional color for summer to fall, but a great color for any season in my book is gray.

Here is Gelish Clean Slate.

This is my first gel polish and my first gel manicure (done by me on me) and I'm pretty pleased with the result.

This is 3 thin coats, and the final result is a dusty gray cream that sometimes leans a little blue/purple.

I've had this on for almost a week and I love it! I'm still getting the hang of gel manis but hopefully I'll keep improving!

Twinsie Tuesday, Sideways French

**press sample**

Good morning everyone! Today's Twinsie Tuesday prompt is Sideways French.

For this mani I used Pipe Dream Polish 110 Degrees and All In. I started with 2 coats of 110 Degrees and let that dry, then added 2 coats of All In, leaving just the edge of 110 Degrees showing. Then I topped it off with HK Girl by Glisten & Glow. I highly recommend all of these polishes, they are fantastic.

This was my first time trying this technique and I really like it. I was actually able to do it freehand which always excites me. :)

What do you think of the sideways french? Have you tried this technique? You definitely should!
