Seche Magnifique from Live Love Polish

**press sample**

Good evening everyone! How are you all doing? Things are good here, but I'm already feeling the holiday craziness! I'll probably be taking a bit of a break from the blog this month, but I'll still be posting on Instagram, be sure to follow me there!

Tonight I have a swatch for you. I was contacted a couple of weeks ago by Laura with Live Love Polish asking if I would like to review a nail color from Seche. This is my first Seche color so I was really excited to try it out.

This is Seche Magnifique

3 coats with no topcoat.

3 coats with 1 coat of Seche Vite topcoat.

First off let me say that I smudged my pinkie when I applied the topcoat, sorry about that. Live Love Polish provided me with a bottle of SecheVite as well. It was the first topcoat that I tried when I first really got into nail polish and nail art. I love how quickly it dries and that it doesn't smudge. (as long as you "float" it on the nail) It does have a tendency to shrink after you've had it for a while. You can remedy this with a few drops of Seche Restore thinner, I think it may have something to do with the fact that it gets kind of goopy over time. But for those just starting out with nails Seche Vite is a great topcoat to try.

So first let me tell you about Live Love Polish. It is a new online store that gets polish directly from the brands, so you don't have to worry about counterfeits! It might seem strange to some but that's actually a big concern for me! They carry brands like Seche, China Glaze, NCLA, and others. They say their shipping is fast, I haven't ordered from them yet, but I can say that my interactions with them so far have been super fast, professional, and friendly.

Now, on to the polish! I would describe Magnifique as a bright fuchsia with a bit of blue shimmer. Overall this is a lovely polish. It has the typical formula issues for polishes with this finish, somewhat tricky to work with, thin, uneven, and a little streaky at first. But it evens out nicely with topcoat. This is one I will reach for again in the future.

If you'd like to buy this polish from Live Love Polish you can buy it here. I'm definitely going to be shopping there very soon!

Thank you all for reading!

Twinsie Tuesday, Your Least Favorite Polish

Good morning everyone! Today's Twinsie Tuesday prompt is your least favorite polish. This was pretty easy for me, Color Club Kismet is this awesome holo that I like in theory but hate on my nails. I can't seem to part with it though...

I think maybe part of the reason that I can't let it go is the awesome holo in this. Unpopular opinion here, but holos aren't my favorite. But something about them always draws me in.... They have a strange power!

Be sure to check out the other Twinsies blogs linked below to see their least favorite polishes!

Twinsie Tuesday, Minimalistic

Good morning friends! Happy Tuesday! Today's theme is minimalistic. When I first thought about what to do for this theme a simple accent nail is what popped in my head. So here is what I came up with.

For my accent nails I used Pipe Dream Polish. 2 coats of Cha-Ching and 1 coat Champagne Kisses. On my other fingers I used 3 coats of Zoya Kitridge, a birthday gift from my lovely fellow Twinsie Cordial! (Thank you Cordia!!!!!) I topped it all off with HK Girl, using 2 coats on my glitter nails.

So what do you think? I'm not sure this much sparkle is "minimalistic", but this technique is an easy way to get big nail art impact.

Be sure to check out the other blogs linked below! Have a great week everyone, and thanks for reading!

Twinsie Tuesday... Halloween!

Good morning everyone! Happy Tuesday! And happy Halloween! I don't really get into holidays much, including Halloween. I've never really been interested in it, even as a kid. But I do love Halloween nail art and cute kids (and puppies) in costumes.

For this weeks nails I went pretty simple just using "Halloween" colors.

For this look I started with OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls. Then using the dry brush (or grunge) technique I added OPI Funky Dunkey, You're So Outta Lime, A Good Man-Darin is Hard to Find, Black Onyx, and This Gown Needs a Crown. Then I Topped it off with HK Girl quick dry top coat by Glisten and Glow, once it was dry I added NOPI Matte Topcoat.

I love this look! Dry brush is a favorite technique, have you tried it? If not, you should!!!

Be sure to check out the other Twinsie blogs linked below! Have a safe and happy Halloween!

Twinsie Tuesday: I've Been Meaning To....

Hey everyone!!! Long time no see! I took a hiatus for vacation, then when we got home life got kind of crazy. But now I'm back and hopefully I can get back into posting more frequently. For now, Twinsie Tuesday!!!

This weeks prompt is I've Been Meaning To.... Basically anything we've been meaning to do. For me that was easy, I've been meaning to do anything with my nails! For a long time I've wanted to try ikat nails and I figured this was perfect excuse. :) There are a lot of tutorials for this design online, I followed one on The Budget Babe

For my base I used OPI My Dogsled is a Hybrid. (Thank you Bridget!) I then painted the design with acrylic paint.

Overall I'm pretty happy with these. I see some things I would like to fix, but it's my first nail art in ages and my first time trying ikat, so I think I did pretty good!
